Good Neighbor Next Door HUD Program
Law enforcement officers, teachers (pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade) firefighters, and emergency medical technicians can contribute to community revitalization while becoming homeowners through HUD's Good Neighbor Next Door Sales Program. HUD offers a substantial incentive in the form of a discount of 50% from the home's list price. In return, an eligible buyer must commit to live in the property for 36 months as his/her principal residence.
Lime Bike Is Hitting Los Angeles
A few months ago we started seeing bright bikes on prominent corners in our neighborhood. They were all over the place. People were riding and smiling yet there seemed to be a lot of confusion about what the heck they were doing in the community and why?
It turns out Los Angeles is a test market from San Pedro to Watts, and it is getting good results and many smiles.
I decided to find out and take a ride and these are the results of that fun adventure.
Please be sure to contact Lime Bikes on Facebook or call their customer service department to get more info, unless you want to just continue driving your luxury SUV! They are really nice people doing good things in the world!

Good Neighbor Next Door - HUD Program
Did you know there is a program out there especially for Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMTs and Teachers?
It is called the Good Neighbor Next Door Program and it is through HUD. This program is not widely known about. The homes are not always available, but when they do come up it is a wonderful way to become a homeowner with benefits.
There are special requirements to qualify for this program, but if you do and you win one of these homes...you would get it for HALF off.
